The invention aims at providing a thermal processing apparatus for metal wire rods, capable of solving the problem of bringing drawbench lubricant into a furnace with a small structure and less working hours, thus to prevent the surface defects of the metal wire rods. The thermal processing apparatus of the invention comprises a heating furnace and a cooling apparatus. The thermal processing apparatus is capable of continuously and parallelly inserting the metal wire rods into the heating furnace and the cooling apparatus while carrying out thermal processing over the metal rods. The front section of the heating furnace is sequentially provided with a lapping machine for polishing the surface of the metal wire rods and a wiping machine for wiping the surface of the metal wire rods. The metal wire rods are made to sequentially pass through the above mentioned lapping machine, the wiping machine, the heating furnace, and the cooling apparatus. |
