<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve unit 3 of an EGR apparatus 1 improved in reliability for preventing condensed water from being produced. <P>SOLUTION: The EGR apparatus 1 includes a cooling water amount adjusting means 18 for increasing and decreasing the flow rate of cooling water passing through a cooling water passage 13 provided in a body 7. An ECU 4 gives a command to the cooling water amount adjusting means 18 to control the flow rate of the cooling water as a cooling water amount control means. For example, when the temperature of the cooling water is low, such as before the warmup of an internal combustion engine, the passing of the cooling water is stopped to prevent the cooling water from hindering the heating of the body 7. Other heat sources (heat generated by a copper loss or the like in an electric motor 8 or the heat of EGR gas) can be utilized to heat the body 7. In the valve unit 3 of the EGR apparatus 1, the condensed water is prevented to reduce the amount of a deposit, thereby improving reliability for preventing the fixation of an EGR valve 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
