PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device capable of recording an image having high uniformity in both image clarity and glossiness regardless of a gradation of the image.SOLUTION: A recording head is able to discharge color ink, and an image quality improving liquid that changes at least one of glossiness and image clarity of an image. The recording head performs recording by performing multiple scans on an identical recording area of a recording medium, and applies the image quality improving liquid to the image. Control means is provided for controlling a ratio of the image quality improving liquid to be discharged to a unit area for each of the multiple scans. The control means selects a first mask or a second mask to be used for dividing recording data into multiple data sections corresponding to the multiple scans, according to a gradation value of the image expressed by input image data corresponding to the unit area. The input image data is expressed by RGB or Lab. |
