A heating unit for an electrically heated instantaneous water heater is disclosed, with a housing in which heating channels arranged in a meandering manner are designed to define a heating section for a fluid, and with heating elements for heating the fluid flowing through the heating channels, wherein the housing is formed by a container with a lateral opening and by a cover for closing the opening, and wherein the cover has projections along which the heating elements extend. The present invention is suitable in particular for providing a compact heating unit for an electric instantaneous water heater, which heating unit can be produced rapidly and simply and permits simple exchange of a defective heating element. |
