PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform QoS control by setting the priority and the channel utilization rate for each wireless LAN standard, in a target area where base stations and wireless LAN terminals of a plurality of wireless LAN standards sharing the same frequency resources exist.SOLUTION: In a wireless LAN system where base stations and wireless LAN terminals of a plurality of wireless LAN standards sharing the same frequency resources perform wireless communication, the base station of each wireless LAN standard includes means for transmitting a reservation signal specifying a NAV period for reserving a channel to a base station and a wireless LAN terminal of other wireless LAN standard, in response to the priority and the channel utilization rate set for each wireless LAN standard. The base station and wireless LAN terminal transmitted a reservation signal perform communication in an NAV period specified by the reservation signal, and the base station and wireless LAN terminal received the reservation signal prohibit transmission in an NAV period specified by the reservation signal. |
