<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent idling of a pump part to securely intake fuel, even when the fuel in a fuel tank is used up in a fuel supply unit. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel supply unit 10, a vapor discharging passage 42 for discharging vapor is formed in an intake side holder 34 constituting a holder 16, and a strainer 20 is installed on an upper end of the vapor discharging passage 42. A lower end 20a of the strainer 20 is arranged upward in the gravity direction with respect to a top end 38a of a pump chamber 38 of a fuel pump 18 housed in the holder 16. Thus, even when the fuel is fed to the fuel tank 12 after the fuel in the fuel tank 12 and in the pump chamber 38 is completely used up, before the fuel reaches the strainer 20, the pump chamber 38 can be filled with the fuel, and gas remaining in the pump chamber 38 is securely discharged to the outside through the vapor discharging passage 42 and the strainer 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
