摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an olivine type silicate compound which makes possible to synthesize the olivine type silicate compound with a good yield and to materialize a lithium ion battery superior in battery physical properties although it is a simple and convenient method.SOLUTION: A method for producing an olivine type silicate compound comprises the steps of mixing together the components (A), (B), (C) and (D) below, and subsequently causing a hydrothermal reaction thereof at 100-200°C: (A) a transition metal sulfate expressed by MSO(where M represents Fe, Ni, Co, Al, Zn, V, Zr or Mn), or an organic acid transition metal salt expressed by (R)M (where R represents an organic acid residue, and M represents Fe, Ni, Co, Al, Zn, V, Zr or Mn), (B) a lithium compound, (C) a silicate compound, and (D) a solvent including 20-80 mass% of polyol and water.
