<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a risk when an ultraviolet lamp has gone out and improve ultraviolet irradiation performance. <P>SOLUTION: In an ultraviolet irradiation device which has a cylindrical container 1, an inlet port 6 and an outlet port 7 of a target fluid provided so as to face a cylindrical wall of the container 1 so that the target fluid circulates in a direction orthogonal to an axis of the container 1, a plurality of transparent lamp protective tubes 13 arranged in the container 1 in parallel to the axis of the container and in a distributed manner in a circumferential direction of a virtual cylinder 18 which has the central axis of the axis of the container, and ultraviolet lamps 14 which are each held in the lamp protective tubes 13, each lamp protective tube 13 holds one ultraviolet lamp 14, and the ultraviolet lamps 14 held in the lamp protective tubes adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction of the virtual cylinder 18 pass through the center of the inlet port 6 and the outlet port 7 and are arranged in an axial direction of the protective tubes symmetrically against a flow channel center plane 19 which is orthogonal to the axis of the container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
