PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite piezoelectric ceramic comprising lead (Pb)-free materials and having sufficiently excellent piezoelectric characteristics, because a piezoelectric ceramic made of only barium titanate (BaTiO) has the problem that its working temperature is limited to ≤100°C because barium titanate (BaTiO) has such a low Curie temperature (Tc) as about 120°C, and the conventionally proposed solid solution of barium titanate (BaTiO) and another component has lower piezoelectric characteristics than a lead (Pb)-based material and cannot obtain a sufficiently large generated displacement, and to provide a method for manufacturing the composite piezoelectric ceramic.SOLUTION: The composite piezoelectric ceramic, which has a heteroepitaxially grown film comprising at least one kind of potassium niobate (KNbO) and sodium niobate (NaNbO) on a surface of a compact of barium titanate (BaTiO) crystal grains, is formed. |
