PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out purification efficiently by detecting the presence of nitrifying bacteria rapidly to control formation of nitrite-nitrogen and nitrate-nitrogen effectively in purifying soil and/or ground water polluted with organic pollutants by utilizing aerobic microorganisms in situ.
SOLUTION: An oxygen-containing gas is fed from a supply passage L1; a mixed gas G is poured into soil 1 and ground water 2 from a gas supply passage L3 in a distributed manner through injection wells 4a, 4b and 4c; and a sample containing ground water is pumped up from the injection well 4a and collected in a sampling container 10. For the sample, the number of microorganisms of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria is measured by real-time PCR. When the measurement value exceeds a predetermined value, a gaseous nitrification controlling substance, or acetylene, is fed from a gas cylinder 6, and the mixed gas G is injected into the soil 1 and ground water 2 from the gas supply passage L3 in a distributed manner through the injection wells 4a, 4b and 4c to decompose organic pollutants by the action of aerobic microorganisms present in the soil in order to control formation of nitrite-nitrogen and nitrate-nitrogen by nitrifying bacteria.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
