<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle that inhibits a driver from further depressing an accelerator pedal while a lock state occurs in an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: The electric vehicle includes: a driving system including the electric motor for generating a vehicle driving force according to an operation amount of the accelerator of the driver; and a lock informing device that generates drive noise from the driving system in a mode where the driver senses it more easily, when the electric motor is in the lock state, compared with when the electric motor is not in the lock state.
