PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine with minimized increase in secondary damper force of magnetorheological fluid in a damper.SOLUTION: The washing machine comprises a damper for supporting a water tank while preventing the vibration of the water tank. The damper comprises a cylinder, a coil producing a magnetic field and a york inducing the magnetic field of the coil which are accommodated in the cylinder, a shaft which penetrates the coil and the york such that the shaft is reciprocatory movable relatively between the coil and the york in axial direction and which is inserted in the cylinder, and a magnetorheological fluid which fills the space between the shaft and the york and whose viscosity varies in response to the action of the magnetic field. The magnetorheological fluid is prepared to have approximately identical particle diameters. |
