PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for an image forming apparatus, in which electric conduction to control means is interrupted in a power-saving state, to cope with both suppression of power consumption at the time of return from the power-saving state and shortening of start time.SOLUTION: Stored in a memory 104 are a plurality of boot programs 105 to 108 for causing, when an electric conduction start request is inputted, main control means 101 to perform start processing for performing electric conduction to a functional module, out of a plurality of functional modules 21 to 23, which corresponds to a kind of the electric conduction start request. When the electric conduction start request is inputted under a state where power supply is interrupted, electric conduction to the main control means is performed and a boot program corresponding to the kind of the electric conduction start request is selected by boot program selection means 103. The selected boot program is supplied to the main control means to thereby cause the main control means to perform the start processing by means of the selected boot program. |
