PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate design method for a steel beam, employing an evaluation formula for durability against lateral buckling that uses two moment correction coefficients appropriate for torsional conditions.SOLUTION: In the evaluation formula for durability against elastic lateral buckling Mfor a steel beam, resistance force by Wagner torsion and resistance force by Saint-Venant torsion are multiplied respectively by moment correction coefficients Cand Cfor calculating the durability against elastic lateral buckling M. Thus, a design method is provided for an H sectional beam having both ends 1a connected rigidly to a column 2 and an upper flange 1A fastened to a floor slab 4 and others with a shear connector, that is, a steel beam that prevents lateral buckling of a steel beam 1 with which lateral movement of the upper flange 1A is restricted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
