PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation operation rod for an indirect hot-line work and an indirect hot-line tool, which are configured such that a grip portion does not disturb the work.SOLUTION: An insulation operation rod 100 for an indirect hot-line work has a main shaft portion 110 having a tip portion to which a tip tool 20 is secured, and a grip portion 120 which is continuously connected to the base end portion of the main shaft portion 110 so as to extend in the same direction as the main shaft portion 110. The grip portion 120 is capable of expanding and contracting. The grip portion 120 has a main grip portion 121 fixed to the main shaft portion 110, and an auxiliary grip portion 122 which gets into and out of the main grip portion 121.
