PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of a heat exchanger and cleaner for the heat exchanger, capable of sufficiently suppressing corrosion of the heat exchanger installed in a flue of a combustion facility.SOLUTION: A cleaning method of a heat exchanger cleans the heat exchanger installed in a flue of a combustion facility. The cleaning method includes a cleaning step in which cleaning fluid contacts to a predetermined surface of the heat exchanger by 35 ml/mor more within 20 seconds, and repeatedly executes the cleaning step so that the sum of combustion time between the cleaning steps is not beyond 60 minutes.SELECTED DRAWING: None
