PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device that makes it possible to increase, with a simple configuration, the drive torque of an electric motor when required.SOLUTION: An electric steering lock device comprises: an electric motor 100 that drives a lock bar 60 and locks/unlocks steering (steering shaft 5); an energization control unit (relays 101, 102, FET 103, transistors 104, 105, and a CPU (Central Processing Unit) 120 for generating a control signal for controlling these; and a capacitor 110 that absorbs current flowing in the electric motor 100 or supplies the electric motor 100 with current according to a controlling state of the energization control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
