PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle image processing apparatus that can speedily determine adhesion of a foreign matter to an imaging part.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle image processing apparatus according to the invention detects an object by image processing of an image picked up by an imaging part 101. The on-vehicle image processing apparatus comprises: an object detection part 113 that detects an object 412 from the present image 411 picked up at predetermined timing; a new object determination part 117 that determines whether or not the target object 412 has not been detected in the previous image 401 picked up at timing earlier than the present image 411 but is detected first time in the present image 411; and an attachment determination part 119 that estimates the position of the new object when the previous image 401 has been picked up, and determines that an attachment adheres to an optical system of the imaging part 101, when the estimated position is located within the previous image 401.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
