PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a base line of a spectrum with high accuracy without performing an analysis, such as a regression analysis, using near-field region data of a certain window width.SOLUTION: In a base line estimation method, a concave section detection unit 322 detects all concave sections in a spectral waveform of a processing object. A concave section correction unit 323 detects concave sections, among the detected concave sections, whose section length that is a length between both ends is less than or equal to a predetermined section length upper-limit value, and replaces, for each of the detected concave sections, a signal waveform within the detected section with a straight line by which the intensity values at both ends are linear-interpolated. A termination determination unit 324 determines whether smoothness of a waveform by provisional base line data leveled out by such interpolation has reached a predetermined permissible state, and, when the permissible state is not reached, performs the process again beginning with the detection of concave sections. Such process is repeated, and when a state is reached that the interpolation is not performed ever once, it is determined that the process is terminated, and the provisional base line is outputted as a final base line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
