PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line lighting device in which each of a plurality of substantial parallel locations can be lighted up in a linear form and an interval between the line lighting positions can be kept constant or substantially constant over a longitudinal direction of the line lighting device, and a manufacturing method and an inspection method thereof.SOLUTION: This line lighting device is made in such a way that a plurality of LEDs 1 are practically installed to be arranged linearly in a direction X and comprises a substrate fixed to a main body 10 of the lighting device, and a longitudinal light collecting lens 40 fixed to the main body 10 of the lighting device to extend in the direction X. When a direction crossing at a right angle with an optical axis direction of the LEDs 1 and with the direction X is defined as a direction Y, each of LEDs 1 has a first light emitting part and a second light emitting part positioned at a location spaced apart in the direction Y with respect to the first light emitting part.
