PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide one-way clutch using cams as torque transmitting members, having a torque limiting function and capable of positively keeping a state where the torque limiting function works.SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of cams 11 which intermediate between an inner race 5 and an outer race 7 is oscillatably held by a holder 17. A first oscillating position where no torque is transmitted and a second oscillating position where the cams engage with inner race outer circumferential surface 13 and an outer race inner circumferential surface 15 and a torque is transmitted are changed over according to the magnitude of torque loaded to the cam and when an excessive torque is loaded to the cam, the position of the cam is changed over to a third oscillating position where the cam does not engage with the inner race outer circumferential surface 13 and the outer race inner circumferential surface 15 and no torque is transmitted between the inner race 5 and the outer race 7 and the cam is held by the holder 17 while the oscillation of the cam from the third oscillating position is restricted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
