PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate accidents involving a stand pipe connected to a water hydrant and others, such as fracture of a main pipe at a connection between the main pipe and a receptacle and jumping out of a dislocated engaging pawl caused by various types of force exerted, including vibration from an explosion of remnant air in a water pipe, water hammering that takes place when a valve is closed, reactive force from water at a time of spraying, etc.SOLUTION: A stand pipe for a water hydrant comprises a main pipe having a receptacle and an elbow having a hose connection port. An annular cylinder part that holds an outer peripheral surface of the main pipe is formed at a cylinder part of a connection member on the receptacle, the annular cylinder part extending from the cylinder part of the connection member provided with an inner screw, or being held so as to connect with the cylinder part of the connection member. The configuration of the stand pipe mitigates concentration of bending stress exerted on an outer screw part of the main pipe, and ensures safety.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
