PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of suppressing shift shock.SOLUTION: The vehicle control device comprises: an automatic transmission that includes a plurality of engagement devices and a hydraulic pressure control circuit controlling a hydraulic pressure supplied to the engagement devices, and shifting gears by switchover between engagement and disengagement of the engagement devices; and a control unit controlling the automatic transmission on the basis of a target value of a transmission torque of the engaged engagement devices and a target value of a transmission torque of the disengaged engagement devices determined from a shift model. The control unit estimates time PT required for packing of the engaged engagement devices on the basis of an oil pressure of the automatic transmission at a time of controlling the automatic transmission to shift gears, and the control unit sets a time difference WTdw between timing t2 and t3 of outputting a transmission torque increase start command related to the engaged engagement devices and outputting a transmission torque reduction start command related to the disengaged engagement devices on the basis of the time PT required for packing, and starts to increase the transmission torque xap of the engaged engagement devices and to reduce the transmission torque xdw of the disengaged engagement devices after t4 at which the packing is completed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
