PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method that achieve both the flexibility and wire-rate performance of statistical information processing in a general-purpose server.SOLUTION: A statistical information processing device 1 includes: a general-purpose function unit 10 that provides a general-purpose program environment by executing a specified program on a general-purpose processor 11 to perform information processing according to the program; and an extension function unit 20 added to the statistical information processing device 1, which executes a statistical information processing instruction on an embedded processor 31 to provide a program environment suitable for collection and storing of statistical information. The general-purpose function unit 10 executes a statistical information processing program to transfer statistical information which is obtained from communication traffic, to the extension function unit 20. The extension function unit 20 executes the statistical information processing instruction to collect statistical information that is to be a storage object out of the statistical information received from the general-purpose function unit 10 by a particle-size variable instruction unit 31W, and store the statistical information to a statistical information memory system 40 at high speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
