PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet requests for low cost and downsizing of a vehicle body by taking measures that can prevent positioning holes, even if the holes are left open, from becoming an origin of deformation of a buckling of a steering member main body.SOLUTION: In order to constitute a steering member main body 1, when constituting a thick driver-side pipe 11 and a thin assist-side pipe 12 by fitting and connecting intermediate-side end parts of both pipes to each other, and when constituting a positioning structure for fitting and connecting the intermediate side end parts 11a and 12a of both pipes 11 and 12 to each other by punching positioning holes 11b and 12b in the driver-side pipe and the assist-side pipe respectively, both positioning holes 11b and 12b are formed to be positioned behind a vehicle body relative to a line P perpendicular to a vehicle body, which passes through a pipe shaft center C in the steering member main body 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
