PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device capable of indicating a status thereof for external view even when the device is closed.SOLUTION: A reader device includes a pair of detection units 7, 8. A luminous unit 9 is provided on an upper edge portion of the detection unit 8 on a surface with a front surface 8A of the detection unit 8 in order to indicate the status of the reader device using different luminous modes. A protection sheet 44 is provided on a front surface of a left cover 41, and the detection unit 7 is inserted and held thereunder. A sloped section 44S is formed between an upper edge 44A of the protection sheet 44 and where an upper edge 75 of a front surface 7A of the detection unit 7 inserted under the protection sheet 44 touches the protection sheet 44 from underneath. The sloped section 44S is obliquely positioned relative to the luminous unit 9 when the reader device is folded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
