PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic device that can give a high contrast.SOLUTION: The electrochromic device includes a support body 11, a first electrode layer 12 formed on the support body 11, a second electrode layer 17 formed to oppose to the first electrode layer 12, a first electrochromic layer 13 formed to be in contact with the first electrode layer 12 or the second electrode layer 17, a third electrode layer 14 formed to be in contact with the first electrochromic layer 13, a second electrochromic layer 15 formed to be in contact with the third electrode layer 14, and an electrolyte layer 16 formed between the first electrode layer 12 and the second electrode layer 17. The third electrode layer 14 and the second electrochromic layer 15 have ion permeability; and the first electrode layer or the second electrode layer in contact with the first electrochromic layer is conducted to the third electrode layer in contact with the second electrochromic layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
