PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with thermal shift on the basis of a change in temperature of the air in an optical box, while suppressing an increase in cost and size of the optical box.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a drive IC 96 that drives a polygon mirror 82 on the basis of a control signal; an optical member on which a laser beam L emitted from a light source 51 is made incident; a housing 31a that accommodates a deflection member 82, a motor 81, the drive IC 96, and the optical member; and a control part 30.
