PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater which can surely avoid high temperature hot water flowing to a hot water faucet side through a general hot water supply passage, during execution of a high temperature hot water supply operation, and in a transition period in which the high temperature hot water supply operation is suspended or stopped and it is converted into a hot water supply operation as a hot water supply interruption occurs during the execution.SOLUTION: When a request of a high temperature hot water supply operation occurs, before starting the high temperature hot water supply operation through a high temperature hot water supply passage, a bypass flow rate regulating valve for mixing water in a general hot water supply passage is drive-controlled to a fully open position (S11). A hot water supply solenoid valve is opened and the high temperature hot water supply operation is started, after confirming that an open limiter signal which is outputted by the valve body reaching the fully open position has changed from a non-output state to an output state, by the drive control (YES in S12). When the change is not confirmed, the high temperature hot water supply operation is forcibly stopped and error processing is performed (NO in S12, S13).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
