PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chip scattering prevention device for a boring drill which makes it easier to carry out cleaning.SOLUTION: A chip scattering prevention device for a boring drill includes: a cylindrical member 301 for chip scattering prevention which has a through hole 303 to permit insertion of a drill teeth 201, and is secured with a magnetic force to a wall 100 composed of a magnet and subjected to drilling by the drill teeth 201; and a covering member 302 to cover a surface of the cylindrical member 301 for the chip scattering prevention which is opposed to the wall 100, an inner wall surface of the through hole 303, and an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 301 for the chip scattering prevention.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
