摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery, which can withstand high-voltage activation.SOLUTION: A positive electrode comprises: a collector; and a positive electrode active material layer. The positive electrode active material layer is formed from: positive electrode active material particles including a Li compound expressed by Li(AMn)O(where A represents at least one element selected from a transition metal, Ca, Mg, S, Si, Na, K, Al, P, Ga and Ge, 0<x&le;2.2, and 0&le;y&le;1) or a solid solution; binding parts binding between the positive electrode active material particles and between each positive electrode active material particle and the collector; and an organic inorganic coating layer formed on at least part of the surface of each positive electrode active material particle. The organic inorganic coating layer can suppress the direct contact between the positive electrode active material particles and a liquid electrolyte in high-voltage activation because of its high strength of bonding with the Li compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
