PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a process unit, which realizes a stable image formation operation over a long period of time by periodically removing an accumulated substance left between a developer carrier and a regulation member.SOLUTION: Performed is a removal operation of driving a process unit 31 only for time t2 in a state in which no voltage is applied to a development roller 36, a regulation blade 108, a supply roller 107, and a photoreceptor drum 32. In a conveyance operation, delivery of toner and the like from the development roller 36 to the photoreceptor drum 32 by electric force is made possible by provision of a potential difference between the development roller 36 and the photoreceptor drum 32. In the removal operation, an accumulated substance removed from the regulation blade 108 and moved to the development roller 36 is further conveyed to the downstream photoreceptor drum 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
