PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pipe whose one end has a larger contact area, whose body part is similar with that of a conventional pipe, and which can attain more excellent heat transfer or heat radiation effect than that of the conventional heat pipe.SOLUTION: A heat pipe includes a lower lid 11, an upper lid 13, a pipe body 15, and a liquid working substance. The upper lid 11 is connected to the lower lid 13, has a space formed thereinside, and has a connection hole. The pipe body 15 has an in-pipe capillary structure formed on an inner wall, one end of the pipe body is inserted into the connection hole to be connected to the upper lid 11, and the other end thereof is sealed. A main capillary structure has a pedestal capillary structure and a connection capillary structure. In the pipe body 15, an internal space communicates with a second passage.
