PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, apparatus and program for optimizing 'actual' (present in a currently received transport stream) and 'other' (present in the other transport streams) table type EPG information acquisition.SOLUTION: In a broadcast stream multiplex, information is included in event information tables (EITs) of type 'actual' that comprises event or program information about a selected service, and of type 'other' that comprises event information about other services in the multiplex.
