PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal usage checking system that is excellent in portability of a device to be carried for use in checking without need for a dedicated sensor, and can be inexpensively established.SOLUTION: A portable terminal usage checking system comprises: a general-purposed portable information terminal unit 2 that has a microphone 3 incorporated or is capable of connecting the microphone 3, and has a screen display device 21 outputting an image; and a server 6 that is connected to the portable information terminal unit 2 by a communication line network 7. The portable information terminal unit 2 has: acoustic data transmission means 35 that returns acoustic data having a check object 1 recorded by the microphone 3 to the server 6; and processing result display means 36.
