PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of performing a defrosting operation that ensures high energy saving performance so as to solve the conventional problem of the degradation of energy saving performance as a result of a defrosting operation by an electric heater if a refrigerator including a plurality of evaporators is unable to simultaneously implement a defrosting operation by one evaporator using air in a cold room as a heat source and a cooling operation for cooling a freezer room by the other evaporator.SOLUTION: A refrigerator comprises: a first refrigerant flow passage p1 including a first evaporator 7a; a second refrigerant passage p2 parallel to the first refrigerant passage p1 and including a second evaporator 7b; a three-way valve 201 provided upstream of the first refrigerant flow passage p1 and the second refrigerant flow passage p2 and controlling a flow of refrigerant; and a two-way valve 202 provided downstream of the first evaporator 7a, and controlling a downstream flow of refrigerant in the first refrigerant flow passage p1 to a refrigerant flow passage merger portion in which the first refrigerant flow passage p1 merges with the second refrigerant flow passage p2 or a range from the first evaporator 7a to a position leading to the refrigerant flow passage merger portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
