Furthermore, the radar system 4 calculates an observation point lateral position x and an observation point longitudinal point y on the basis of the observation point length L and the observation point azimuth &thetas;. Moreover, the radar system 4 determines the detection of a running vehicle if the number of observation points within a lateral determination range set to contain a preset passing determination line to extend along a direction of 90° with respect to a vehicle front-rear direction on a lateral side of a vehicle on the basis of the observation point lateral position x and the observation point longitudinal position y is equal to or greater than a preset vehicle presence determination number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
