PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding device of a simple structure for a wedge binding-type scaffold.SOLUTION: In a binding device for a wedge binding-type scaffold, a receiving metal fitting 2 on a support post 1 side is U-shaped when seen in a planar view, and has a central wall 5 that inclines downward in a forward direction. An engaging metal fitting 4 on an arm material 3 side includes: a wedge 12 having a front opening recess 8 or a long hole formed on a front side and a rear opening protrusion/recess 9 having an L-shaped recess 10 and one or two arc-shaped recess 11 formed on a rear side; a wedge guide member 15 that is U-shaped when seen in a planar view and has a rear wall 16 inclining downward in a forward direction; and a plate spring 20 partly interposed between the wedge 12 and the rear wall 16 of the wedge guide member, roughly V-shaped having an opening on a front side and a rear wedge stopper pin 22 at a lower edge part. The engaging metal fitting is fitted into the receiving metal fitting 4 and bound. Open holes 18, 24 are formed respectively on the rear wall 16 of the wedge guide member and the central wall 5 of the receiving metal fitting, to allow insertion of the rear wedge stopper pin 22.
