PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that facilitates reinforcement of a hollow cylindrical structure.SOLUTION: A reinforcement method for a hollow cylindrical structure comprises the following steps for: forming a work hole 2 at a height from a site 3 that does not use a vehicle for high lift work; inflating an inner balloon part 14 with compressed air and fixing a reinforcing part 12 on an inner wall surface surrounding an inner hollow part of a hollow cylindrical structure 1 with an adhesive, the inner balloon part having been pulled into and lifted in the inner hollow part of the hollow cylindrical structure 1 through the work hole 2 from outside the hollow cylindrical structure 1; inflating a carry-in balloon part 32 of a second upper carry-in device 31 with compressed air and installing the balloon part at a head part side of the inner hollow part; inserting a curable material pipe into the inner hollow part of the inner balloon part with a hoisting apparatus 36 of the second upper carry-in device; and casting a liquid curable material into the inner hollow part of the inner balloon part from the curable material pipe 41 so as to be filled starting from a bottom part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
