PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of improving inspection accuracy by eliminating local paper floating in a printing medium.SOLUTION: A control unit 51 performs positioning at scanning time by adsorbing continuous form paper WP with respect to an adsorption part 27, and moves the continuous form paper WP at a speed lower than a conveyance speed at printing time. Therefore, the continuous form paper WP is adsorbed to the adsorption part 27 so that winkles coming into contact with the adsorption part 27 are crushed. However, when thickness of the continuous form paper WP is thin, not all the wrinkles are crushed due to the influence of tension at movement time, so that the tension imparting with respect to the continuous form paper WP is stopped. Then, the continuous form paper WP is loosened and the influence of the tension disappears, so that it is adsorbed to the adsorption part 27 in such a manner that the fine wrinkles which could not have been crushed can be crushed, and positioning at scanning time is performed. As a result, local paper floating in the continuous form paper WP can be eliminated, and the inspection accuracy can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
