PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that can facilitate the processing of error condition information associated with a content-oriented type network (CCN) message transmitted on a network.SOLUTION: During operation, a system receives a packet corresponding to a CCN message by a first node. The name of the CCN message is a hierarchically structured variable length identifier (HSVLI) having continuous name components which are ordered from the most general level to the most specific level. In response to a determination indicating that the CCN message induces an error condition, the system generates an interest return message by adding a data structure to the head of the CCN message. Here, the data structure indicates the error condition. The system transmits the interest return message to a second node.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
