<p>The invention relates to a method for producing a cross-member (1) for the dashboard of a vehicle, comprising at least one cross-bar (2) and at least one side support (3) arranged to allow the cross-bar (2) to be secured to a vehicle body pillar. The method is characterised in that it comprises: a step (a) of producing the side support, comprising the production of a plate (4), from a first material, that is designed to be secured to a body pillar of the vehicle, after which a support sleeve (5) is mounted on and secured to the plate (4), said support sleeve being designed to receive the cross-bar (2) and being made from a second material different from the first and formed by a thermoplastic polymer; and an assembly step (b) during which the cross-bar (2) is secured in the support sleeve (5).</p> |
