METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING SEQUENCE SYNCHRONIZATION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The present invention provides a transmitting and receiving method which can predict definite time and frequency synchronization using sequences in a filter bank multi-carrier transmission system. The present invention comprises the steps of: mapping sequences in correspondence with filters respectively; introducing auxiliary sequences helping the sequence for the synchronization maintain a correlation characteristic; and extracting the auxiliary sequences having no influence on data demodulation while making it possible to predict the time and the frequency synchronization. The present invention can definitely predict the time and the frequency synchronization via the synchronization sequences and the auxiliary sequences generated via a filter bank multi-carrier transmission method.
