The present invention relates to a system and method for transmitting location-based audio data. The system for transmitting location-based audio data comprises: a mobile node for broadcasting a location notification message for recognizing the location; a plurality of fixed nodes installed in every predetermined unit area, becoming a reference point for recognizing the location of the mobile node, and receiving the location notification message; and a server for managing the location of the mobile node by collecting location information of the mobile node from the fixed nodes. The server provides location information of a second mobile node to a first fixed node corresponding to location information of a first mobile node when the first mobile node requests transmission of audio data to the second mobile node. In addition, the first fixed node transmits audio data obtained from the first mobile node to a second fixed node corresponding to location information of the second mobile node, and the second fixed node transmits audio data to the second mobile node or broadcasts the audio data to a unit area in which the second mobile node is located.
