An expression vector is provided which contains: promoter DNA; DNA encoding a peptide which comprises a prescribed amino acid sequence and has secretory signal activity; and, DNA encoding a target protein or a cloning site for insertion of DNA encoding the target protein. Further, an expression vector is provided which contains: promoter DNA; DNA encoding a peptide which comprises a prescribed amino acid sequence and has secretory signal activity; DNA encoding a target protein or a cloning site for insertion of DNA encoding the target protein; and DNA encoding an anchor domain. By means of the peptide which has secretory signaling activity, secretory production and cell surface display of proteins at high activity become possible in yeast. Thereby, a secretory signaling peptide is provided which, in secretory production and cell surface display of proteins, has stabilized secretion capacity surpassing that of conventionally used secretory signaling peptides.
