In order to construct a system that is capable of managing efficient operation control of a plurality of distributed power supplies without compromising the versatility of said distributed power supplies, this invention provides a control method for a power control system 100 that includes the following: an electricity-generating device 33 that, while a current sensor 40 is detecting a forward current that is greater than or equal to a threshold, generates electricity in accordance with the level detected by said current sensor; and a power control device 20 that controls distributed power supplies, including the aforementioned electricity-generating device. The current sensor is positioned between the power control device and the electricity-generating device, and the power control device is connected to a dummy-current output unit 50 that is capable of supplying the current sensor with a dummy current flowing in the same direction as the abovementioned forward current. This control method includes the following steps: a first step in which, with currents flowing from the electricity-generating device and the power control device to a load 32 being constant for a prescribed length of time, the power control device makes the dummy current from the dummy-current output unit increase in a stepwise manner; and a second step in which, after the first step, the smallest forward current at which the output voltage of the electricity-generating device increased is stored as the abovementioned threshold. |
