PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment device capable of reducing NOx (nitrogen oxide) by-produced in treating an exhaust gas by applying a three-way catalyst method.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas treatment device 1 including an oxidative decomposition portion 10 for oxidatively decomposing an exhaust gas, and an exhaust gas cleaning portion 30 for cleaning the exhaust gas after the oxidative decomposition, further includes a nitrogen oxide removing portion 40 for removing nitrogen oxide included in the exhaust gas, disposed at a subsequent stage of the oxidative decomposition portion 10. The nitrogen oxide removing portion 40 is constituted to supply at least one of carbon hydride and carbon monoxide to the exhaust gas discharged from the oxidative decomposition portion 10, make at least one of carbon hydride and carbon monoxide react with oxygen remaining in the exhaust gas to remove oxygen from the exhaust gas, and make nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas react with at least one of carbon hydride and carbon monoxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
