A multi-part feed system for an injection mold system including a plurality of mold cavities, an injection system for pressurizing molten plastic prior to injection through said feed system, through a nozzle, and through at least one gate into at least one of the plurality of the mold cavities, and a controller for controlling the injection system to maintain the molten plastic at a substantially constant pressure that is less than 10,000 psi measured at the nozzle, the feed system being located between the nozzle and the at least one gate, the feed system comprising:
a first part including a first feed channel; and a second part including a second feed channel, the first feed channel and the second feed channel forming a molten plastic feed conduit when the first part is located adjacent to the second part, wherein a metal-connecting joint is formed between the first part and the second part and between the first feed channel and the second feed channel.
