A wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) device (20) includes a first transceiver and a second transceiver. The first transceiver is configured to communicate on a first frequency band, and includes a first Multi-Chip Module (MCM - 28). The first MCM includes a first Radio- Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC - 32) for transmitting and receiving on the first frequency band and a first Base Band Integrated Circuit (BBIC - 36). The second transceiver is configured to communicate on a second frequency band, and includes a second MCM (30). The second MCM includes a second RFIC (34) for transmitting and receiving on the second frequency band and a second BBIC (36) that is identical to the first BBIC.
