The invention relates to a semiconductor component (1) comprising - a semiconductor chip (2) which has an active region (20) that is provided for generating radiation; - a radiation outlet surface (10) which runs parallel to the active region; - a molded body (4) which is molded on the semiconductor chip in some areas and which forms at least one lateral surface (12) of the semiconductor component at least in some regions; - an assembly surface (11) which is provided for securing the semiconductor component; and - a spacer (3) which projects beyond the radiation outlet surface in a vertical direction that runs perpendicular to the radiation outlet surface. The invention further relates to an illuminating device (9) and to a method for producing a semiconductor component.
